David Amadio examines the reign and life of King Rehoboam, tracing the historical narrative found in 2 Chronicles chapters 10 through 12. He explores the consequences of Rehoboam’s rejection of wise counsel, the division of the nation of Israel, and the spiritual dangers of self-reliance and forsaking the law of God. The sermon highlights themes of personal spiritual responsibility, the value of humility before a merciful God, and divine interventions that averted further conflict. Finally, Amadio draws practical lessons from Rehoboam’s failures and provides several key contrasts between Rehoboam and the Lord Jesus Christ.
